My blogs will be irregular and perhaps when they are published will be more than once in a particular day.  The sequence of events reported to you may not be in the way they occurred.  The technology challenge is one issue, the other being lack of time.  Seminars, classes, parties and so much more.  Always something going on.

Almost everyone has attended a business convention at one point of their careers.  My business is not any different, except our conventions are usually on a cruise ship.  It is a mixture of fun and work.  I can’t quite understand why I don’t get much sympathy when I tell people how much work and tiring these conventions are.  Here is what my schedule for this coming week is like.  I can already tell you don’t feel sorry for me.  I will blog on the events that you may find interesting.

Upon entering our stateroom a delicious bottle of French champagne and half a dozen chocolate covered strawberries from Out Holland America Lines national accounts manager awaited us.  What a nice way to start the convention cruise.

All our registration materials and a variety of gifts were in two large boxes on the bed as well.  Without the need to go to a registration desk, our first official event was a cocktail party prior to our first dinner.  Thisparty was also sponsored by Holland America Lines.  Wine was served at dinner courtesy of Access America, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Princess Cruises.  Thanks to all.

Sunday, a day at sea, started with a networking session from 9 AM to noon and a General Session from 3:30 to 5:30.  Prior to dinner Cruise Holidays Awards Presentation & Cocktail Reception.  The wine with dinner again sponsored by Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, RBC Insurance, and Royal Caribbean International.

Monday we are in Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands and we have morning sessions from 9 to 11:30.  I played hookey having booked an excursion.  I consider it client research.  Afternoon session again for three hours after departing Turks & Caicos.  No cocktail tonight but wine with dinner courtesy of Access America, AmaWaterways, Cunard Line & Princess Cruises.

I will report on the activities for the remainder of the week in another blog.  As you can see it’s a lot of ‘work.

Until next time,
Bon Voyage
